At the LABC Building Excellence awards, the School House project we worked on in Griffydam won in the ‘Best Change of Use of an Existing Building or Conversion’ category.
The School House project entailed converting a former school into a family home. Working with David Granger Architectural Design and Lychgate Homes, we were asked to design the exterior landscaping and planting. You can read more about it here and here.
The awards ceremony was held at Athena in Leicester on 10th June and was attended by over 350 architects, builders, developers, planners – and us!
As regional winners, the School House will be representing the East Midlands at the LABC Grand Finals, to be held in November in London. Wish us luck!
Pictured picking up the award are (L-R): Michael Perry from David Granger Architectural Design Ltd; Anna Barker from Lush Garden Design; Amanda and Rob Jones, owners of the School House; Dan Sturgess from Lychgate Homes Ltd; David Darlington from North West Leicestershire District Council; Jayne Hall, President of LABC; and Graham Rowntree, former England rugby player and MC for the night.
