Tropical New-Build Garden Design in Melbourne, Derbyshire

In Melbourne, Derbyshire in 2023 we were asked to transform a blank new-build garden into a tropical hideaway.

We created a contemporary space perfect for entertaining and relaxation. Working with an existing patio, we added new seating areas, a fire pit area, and a water feature.

Height and privacy were achieved with Heptacodium miconoides and a slimline pergola. The garden boasts lush tropical-style plantings like Gunnera, Tetrapanax, Musa basjoo and Arundo donax, giving it a holiday feel.

Design and planting were done by ourselves, and hard landscaping was done by Garden Art Landscapes.

What Did Our Clients Think?

We sat down with our clients, Sharon and Guy, to discuss their experience of having their garden designed and built. As Guy says, we “exceeded expectations by a mile.”
